The lower nickel content is compensated for by higher levels of manganese, which enhances strength while keeping costs down. SS 201 Nuts show solid mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa. They maintain excellent ductility and work-hardening capabilities, making them easy to form and machine. They also provide decent corrosion resistance in mild environments and hold up well at moderately elevated temperatures.
