Copper Nickel bolts are made mostly of Cu (Copper) ≤ Ni (Nickel) where the 2 elements are typically composed in the ratio of ≈70% Cu to 30% Ni, but small amounts of manganese and iron can be added to improve the strength and corrosion-resistance characteristics of these alloys. Because of these characteristics, Copper Nickel alloys also demonstrate high corrosion-resistance (to seawater) & erosion resistance as well as bio-fouling resistance, and consequently Copper Nickel Bolt products are ideal for marine & other environments. In addition to their corrosion-resistant properties, Copper Nickel Bolt products also provide mechanical properties including …500 MPa tensile strength, yielding strength and excellent ductility/toughness. Furthermore, Copper Nickel bolt products maintain their integrity throughout various temperatures & pressures so they can be relied upon to provide consistent and continue providing performance for Offshore, Marine, Desalination and other demanding industrial markets.
