The Copper Nickel Alloy bolts 70% copper and 30% nickel, along with small additions of iron and manganese. Copper Nickel 70/30 has excellent properties in resisting seawater, biocontrol and stress corrosion; therefore, it is suitable for use in marine environments. As a result of the additional properties, there are variations between the tensile strength of Copper Nickel 70/30 bolts and about 350 – 550 MPa; copper nickel alloys are also very ductile, tough and thermally stable. Copper Nickel 70/30 bolts are especially effective in offshore and desalination installations where there is a possibility of high temperature and pressure changes.
