The alloy that comprises Super Duplex Steel S32760 wash plates generally has approximately 24-26% chromium, 6-8% nickel, 3-4% molybdenum, and 0.20 – 0.30% nitrogen by weight along with minor (+-1%) quantities of copper, tungsten, and manganese. The high percentage of chromium combined with molybdenum and nickel results in very good resistance to both pitting and corrosion. The mechanical properties of Super Duplex Steel S32760 are equally high due to the presence of high concentrations of alloying elements. Super Duplex Steel S32760 washer plates have a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa and minimum tensile strength of 750 MPa. Typical hardness ranges from 290 HB and elongation averages around 25%. Super Duplex Steel S32760 washers possess excellent strength, toughness, and endurance for use in extremely harsh service environments in industrial and marine applications.
