Duplex Steel S31803 Washers have about 21-23% chromium, 4.5-6.5% nickel, 2.5-3.5% molybdenum, and 0.08-0.20% nitrogen, with balanced amounts of manganese, silicon, and iron. The duplex microstructure gives these washers excellent corrosion and strength properties, even in environments which cause stress corrosion due to chlorides. The washers have a tensile strength of approximately 620 MPa, and a yield strength of approximately 450 MPa and a Brinell hardness of approximately 290 HB with about a 25% elongation. The washers have excellent durability, toughness, and performance in extreme industrial use.
