The material used to manufacture washers using Alloy Incoloy 825 has a high nickel, low iron, and medium chromium content (38–46 percent nickel, 19.5–23.5 percent iron, 19.5–23.5 percent chromium) with between two and three percent each of molybdenum and copper. Because of the presence of these chemical elements, they have outstanding corrosion resistance in addition to an excellent ability to resist the effects of aggressive chemicals. Mechanical properties are excellent; they have a high tensile strength, good ductility, and good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. In addition, washers made from Alloy Incoloy 825 are resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion and resist stress corrosion cracking, making them appropriate for many types of aggressive and demanding industrial applications. Therefore, the properties of Alloy Incoloy 825 provide maximum performance, reliability, and longevity in most working environments.
