Washers made from Inconel 718 are comprised of a nickel chromium-based alloy that contains niobium, molybdenum, titanium, and aluminium. The general formula for Inconel 718 is approximately 50-55% Ni, 17-21% Cr, 2.8-3.3% Mo, and 4.75-5.5% Nb. With this chemical makeup, Inconel 718 has an exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion under extreme temperatures, and it exhibits extremely high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and the ability to support large loads without deforming or yielding over time (at specified temperatures). Inconel 718 washers are therefore very well-suited for usage in aerospace, power generation, and other high-performance industrial settings.
