Washers made from Inconel 625 are manufactured using a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy containing niobium, giving the washers both corrosion resistance and strength. The most common composition consists of Nickel 58%, Chromium 20-23%, Molybdenum 8-10%, Niobium 3.15-4.15%. This combination gives Inconel 625 washers increased resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and oxidation. In the case of Inconel 625 washers’ mechanical properties, these washers can withstand high levels of tension, fatigue, and have great toughness over an extensive range of temperatures. Although Inconel 625 washers are capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, high pressures, and aggressive chemicals, they have been found to be well-suited to the demanding environments of Aerospace, Marine, Chemical and Industrial applications where long-term reliability is required.
