Inconel 601 washers have a high concentration of Nickel, Chromium and Iron, reinforced with small amounts of Aluminum, Carbon, (0.08 – 0.12% max.) as well as very small amounts of Manganese (1/30 – 2%) and Silicon (2% max.). The combination of these materials provides excellent mechanical properties with substantial tensile strength, great resistance to creep, and thermal stability to higher temperatures (greater than 1300°F.). Thermal means a use of heat over time to maintain the structural integrity under thermal stress conditions. Since they resist corrosion and oxidative damage, Inconel 601 washers provide a very long-life expectancy in extreme or demanding environments.
