Monel 400 stud bolts are manufactured from a solid solution nickel-copper alloy containing about 63% nickel, 28%-34% copper, and smaller amounts of iron, manganese, and trace elements. The unique microstructure of Monel 400 provides excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, acidic and basic solutions, as well as other corrosive media. In terms of mechanical performance, Monel 400 stud bolts have a very high yield strength, good overall structural integrity (toughness), and high resistance to failure from repeated cyclic loading (fatigue). Monel 400 stud bolts maintain their structural integrity when exposed to extreme temperatures and/or loads, which makes them ideal for use in industries such as marine and chemical, where strength and resistance to corrosion are critical requirements for long-term application.
