Fasteners (studs) manufactured in accordance with ASTM A453 Grade 660 Class A, are made from an austenitic, precipitation-hardened, high-strength alloy that has similarities to A-286. Typically contains Nickel (24–27%), Chromium (13.5–16%), Molybdenum (1–1.5%), Titanium (1.9–2.35%), very small quantities of Vanadium and Boron, with Iron making up the remainder. The alloying elements provide the Alloy with superior strength, good resistance to corrosion, and stability at elevated temperatures. Mechanical Properties: The Alloy has a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa, yield strength of 585 MPa, elongation of 15% and a high degree of creep resistance to withstand the thermal and pressure environments encountered during use.
