ASTM A453 Grade 660 Class C Stud Bolts are high-strength Austenitic, Property 840 graded alloy iron stud bolts, which are similar to A-286 alloys. The material composition for these stud bolts is normally Nickel (24% to 27%), Chromium (from 13.5% up to 16%), Molybdenum (from 1% to 1.5%), Titanium (1.9% to 2.35%), Vanadium and Boron (in very small quantities), with Iron being the primary alloying material. These alloying materials provide this stud bolt material with exceptional sold performance characteristics of high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, as listed above in the mechanical property chart for grade 660 stud bolts. In addition to improved strength and oxidation resistance, these stud bolts have an ultimate (maximum) tensile strength of 760 N/mm2, a yield strength of 585 N/mm2 and a high level of ductility, elongating approximately 15% under a tensile load with good creep resistance, providing exceptional performance in high-stress and high-temperature environments.
