Duplex Steel Bolt have an alloyed composition containing an equal quantity of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. The austenitic and ferritic features of duplex steel bolts are obtained by the chromium (22 – 25%), nickel (5-6%), and minor amounts of molybdenum (less than 1%), nitrogen (less than 0.05%), and manganese (less than 0.05%) in the alloyed structure of the bolt. The unique microstructure type of duplex steel bolts provides enhanced resistance against rusting, stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion when in aggressive applications. Along with the corrosion resistant properties, duplex steel bolts have high tensile strength (500 MPa) and yield strength (700 MPa), good ductility (greater than 30%), high toughness, high fatigue resistance and good stability at elevated temperatures. Their combination of these exceptional mechanical properties and corrosion-resistant properties makes them highly suitable for applications within the oil and gas, chemical, marine, and heavy-industrial sectors where the need for a highly durable and dependable fastening solution is essential.
