Typical Duplex Steel Stud Bolts have a balanced austenitic/ferritic micro-structure with an average composition of 21-23% Chromium, 4.5-6.5% Nickel, 2.5-3.5% Molybdenum, and 0.14-0.20% Nitrogen. Other trace elements include Manganese, Silicon, and Copper. The chemical composition of Duplex Steel Bolts gives the material superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in a chloride-rich environment. The mechanical properties of Duplex Steel Bolts allow for a tensile strength range of 620-880 MPa and a yield strength range of 450-550 MPa; they also provide an excellent level of toughness, have a high level of fatigue resistance, and are able to maintain their mechanical properties in elevated temperature/pressure applications within the industrial, marine, and chemical industries.
