A high-performance nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with tungsten additions makes up Hastelloy C276 washers. Typical composition includes about 57% nickel, 15–17% molybdenum, 14.5–16.5% chromium, 3–4.5% tungsten, and small amounts of iron, cobalt, manganese, and silicon. This balanced chemistry provides exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and strong oxidizing and reducing media. Mechanically, Hastelloy C276 washers offer tensile strength around 690–740 MPa, yield strength near 280–300 MPa, elongation of about 40–50%, and excellent toughness, ensuring reliable performance in highly corrosive and extreme environments.
