The main elements of the Inconel 625 stud bolt material are nickel (58% min), chromium (20 to 23%) and molybdenum (8 to 10%), to which niobium, iron and small amounts of other trace metals are added. Due to the presence of these metals, Inconel 625 stud bolts possess a high level of corrosion, pitting and oxidation resistance; this is particularly true of marine environments and chemical environments. Additionally, the mechanical properties of Inconel 625 stud bolts provide a moderate tensile strength, exceptional toughness and superior fatigue and creep resistance while exhibiting stability under extreme temperatures and large loads. Accordingly, Inconel 625 stud bolts have strength and durability characteristics, coupled with their corrosion-resistant properties, which make them ideal for applications demanding strength and durability, in marine, chemical, oil & gas, industrial applications.
