Stainless Steel 201 Nuts are dependable and cost-effective fastening components made from a type of austenitic stainless steel that’s known for its impressive strength, toughness, and resistance to corrosion. These nuts are crafted to ensure secure fastening in a variety of industrial and structural settings where durability and lightweight performance are essential. SS 201 Nuts are resistant to moisture, mild chemicals, and atmospheric corrosion, making them a great choice for indoor use and in environments that aren’t overly corrosive. They boast strong mechanical integrity, wear resistance, and stability under stress, which guarantees a long service life. Their affordability and versatility make Stainless Steel 201 Nuts a popular choice in engineering and fabrication projects.
These nuts are made up of about 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and 5.5–7.5% manganese, along with trace amounts of carbon, nitrogen, and silicon. The lower nickel content is compensated for by higher levels of manganese, which enhances strength while keeping costs down. SS 201 Nuts show solid mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa. They maintain excellent ductility and work-hardening capabilities, making them easy to form and machine. They also provide decent corrosion resistance in mild environments and hold up well at moderately elevated temperatures.
