These nuts are made up of about 24–26% Chromium, 19–22% Nickel, up to 2% Manganese, 1.5% Silicon, and controlled carbon content—0.25% for 310 and 0.08% for 310S, along with trace elements like Phosphorus and Sulfur. The high levels of chromium and nickel provide outstanding high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to around 1100°C. They offer a tensile strength of approximately 520 MPa and a yield strength close to 205 MPa, along with excellent toughness and creep resistance. The lower carbon content in 310S improves weldability and reduces carbide precipitation during high-temperature fabrication.
