Stainless Steel 446 Stud Bolts are robust fastening components crafted from ferritic stainless steel, built to withstand the toughest conditions with remarkable durability in high-temperature and corrosive environments. These stud bolts are known for their outstanding resistance to oxidation, scaling, and thermal fatigue, ensuring they maintain their structural integrity even when exposed to temperatures exceeding 1100°C. Their exceptional performance in harsh atmospheres filled with sulfur and chlorine makes them a go-to choice for industries where regular stainless steels just can’t cut it. SS 446 Stud Bolts guarantee secure fastening, a long lifespan, and mechanical stability under heavy loads and fluctuating temperatures, making them perfect for demanding industrial and engineering tasks.
These bolts are made up of about 23–27% chromium, along with trace amounts of carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, and a touch of nickel. The high chromium content gives them impressive resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and high-temperature scaling. On the mechanical side, they boast a tensile strength of around 485 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa, along with excellent creep resistance at elevated temperatures. These fasteners maintain their shape, endure thermal cycling, and resist deformation under significant mechanical stress, ensuring reliable performance in challenging industrial settings.
