What is Titanium Grade 2 Stud Bolts?
Titanium Grade 2 stud bolts are made of commercially pure titanium, with approximately 99% titanium alloyed with traces of iron, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen. This composition offers great corrosion ability particularly in oxidizing and mildly reducing conditions. Grade 2 is mechanically providing a good balance of strength and ductility with tensile strength of approximately 345 Mpa and yield strength approximating at 275 Mpa. It also offers high impact toughness, low density and good weldability and hence such stud bolts are best suited to use in marine, chemical and industrial purposes.
