Titanium Grade 5 Washers have been developed using the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, which combines about 90% titanium with equal parts of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. The resulting combination gives these washers an incredible strength-to-weight ratio, as well as excellent heat and corrosion resistance, which are all features that help give the Ti-6Al-4V alloy its superior properties. Titanium Grade 5 also has very high tensile strength, typically between 895 MPa to 930 MPa, and has exceptional fatigue resistance at ambient temperature and under elevated temperature fatigue. Therefore, even though they are extremely lightweight, they are also extremely strong, making them suitable for a wide variety of industries. Due to the exceptional performance of titanium grade 5 washers, they are ideally suited for use in complex environments where demanding applications occur within the aerospace, marine, medical, and high-performance industrial markets.
